The function of a coordinator is to ensure that the leaves of a pair close in the proper sequence. Two common types of coordinators are gravity coordinators which are mounted on the frame face (top right), and bar-type coordinators which are mounted on the underside of the frame head (bottom right). If both leaves of the pair are opened and the active leaf begins to close first, the coordinator holds the active leaf open a few degrees to allow the inactive leaf to close first. When the inactive leaf is in the closed position, it engages the release mechanism on the coordinator which then allows the active leaf to close.
Push plates & pull plates are used on the interior and exterior of doors for applications where no door handles or locks are needed. They are used on commercial, residential, bathroom, and restaurant door applications. Push & pull plates are used to help protect doors in high-traffic areas. Matching finish mounting screws are included for easy installation.
A doorstop (also door stopper or door stop) is an object or device used to hold a door open or closed, or to prevent a door from opening too widely. Alternatively, a doorstop can be a thin slat built inside a door frame to prevent a door from swinging through when closed.
A filler plate is used for covering up holes and cut-outs in the door and frame in place of door handles and hinges when it is not used or needed. Filler plates can improve the appearance of the doors and frames when used. Most door and frame manufacturers create cut-outs in these components at the factory.
Latch protector's completely cover the latch area protecting the latch bolt from prying and shimming. Latch protectors provide great protection for your door at a minimum cost They are used for multiple door applications such as Angle Type for Outswinging Doors, Key-In-Lever Locks, Electric Strikes, Aluminum Entrance Doors, Interlocks for Inswinging Doors, Slimline for Outswinging Doors etc.
Ball Latch door hardware is generally used on doors where a lever latch is not used or needed. The ball catch is mounted on the door recessed in a hole drilled on the top surface. A strike plate is mounted on the door jamb where the spring loaded ball will catch and hold the door closed. A tug on the door will release the catch. Ball Lat door hardware is generally used on closet doors where a latch is not used or needed.
A strike plate is a metal plate affixed to a door jamb with a hole or holes for the bolt of the door. When the door is closed, the bolt extends into the hole in the strike plate and holds the door closed. The strike plate protects the jamb against friction from the bolt and increases security in the case of a jamb made of a softer material (such as wood) than the strike plate.
A strike filler plate is used for covering up holes and cut-outs in the frame in place of door handles when it is not used or needed. Filler plates can improve the appearance of the frames when used. Most door and frame manufacturers create cut-outs in these components at the factory.
