Knowing Your Door

A fire door is a type of metal fie rate door or movable barrier used as a part of a passive fire protection system within building to prevent the spread of fire or smoke between separate sections.  It is usually the only means of allowing people to pass through a fire-resistant wall.  The frame for the door is made of metal.

A sliding door is a type of door which open horizontally by sliding, whereby the door is either mounted on or suspended from a track.  Types of sliding doors include pocket door, arcadia doors and bypass doors. Commercial sliding doors are commonly used for mall interior and exterior doors.

A wooden door can be made of solid wood or can be a hollow core door.  Doors that are made of solid wood can be used for interior or exterior applications, but a hollow core door is used for interior areas.

An all glass door is exactly that, all glass mad of heavy tempered glass with no frame.  In order to hang this type of door you would use Patch Fitting (hinge).

A glass and aluminum door is a glass door surrounded by aluminum edging the frame of the door is aluminum.  The aluminum around the door can come in different colors.
